Classic Suzuki Sunday set for this weekend

The 2015 Classic Suzuki Sunday event takes place this weekend at the Super Sausage café, with a host of vintage machinery on display on Sunday 6 September.

In its second year after a popular inaugural event in 2014, this year’s Classic Suzuki Sunday will see Suzuki’s purpose-built events unit set up outside the motorsport-themed café, with a number of bikes on display including Michael Dunlop’s XR69, which will be shipped to the event straight from this year’s Classic TT. Kevin Schwantz’s Pepsi liveried RGV500 will be displayed, along with Kenny Roberts Jr’s Telefonica MoviStar RGV500 and Barry Sheene’s RG500. The brand new TL1000S, that was assembled from new parts at last year’s Motorcycle Live, will also be featured.

Three-time British Superbike champion John Reynolds will be in attendance and on hand to talk about his racing exploits on GSX-R machinery and his testing role with the factory.

Suzuki GB Tim Davies said, "Last year’s event was brilliant and we’re really looking forward to getting back to the Super Sausage café again for this year’s event. We’ve got some great classic racing machinery that we’ll be bringing along, but we really want to see some of the classic Suzukis that may be residing in people’s sheds and garages, whether that’s a GT750 ‘kettle’, RGV250, or a GS1000. We’re excited to see everyone that comes along and we’re looking forward to seeing some of the bikes they bring too."

The Classic Suzuki Sunday takes place at the Super Sausage café, located on the A5 near Towcester, NN12 7QD, from 9am – 4pm.
