New Suzuki KATANA set to headline MK Bike Show

With the MK Bike Show returning to stadium MK on June 23, Suzuki has announced its attendance and, along with it, that the hotly-anticipated and newly-launched KATANA will be taking centre stage.

The original KATANA rocked the motorcycling world when it was launched in 1981, with futuristic, stand-out styling. The new-for-2019 KATANA draws inspiration from the legendary 80s machine, with aggressive, Samurai sword-inspired lines, but unlike its forebearer, it uses a thoroughly modern and powerful 150hp engine.

Suzuki – shirt sponsors of the MK Dons football club and with its UK head office based in Milton Keynes – will display the groundbreaking new KATANA alongside the rest of its model lineup, which caters for riders of all persuasions and experience, from its V-Strom adventure bike range to its race-winning and MotoGP-inspired GSX-R1000R, plus it’s learner-friendly 125 and scooter ranges. The brand’s illustrious heritage will be showcased thanks to Kevin Schwantz’s 1993 World Championship-winning RGV500, and the original GSX-R750F from 1985, while its off-road capabilities will be demonstrated by its RM-Z450 motocross machine and KingQuad ATV.

There will also be the opportunity for visitors to book and test ride a number of bikes from Suzuki’s product range on the day – so long as they can provide a valid licence, National Insurance number, and riding kit – while those without a licence can enjoy a taster session using Suzuki’s GSX-S125 machines, with an experienced instructor on-hand to teach the basics.

Suzuki can be found on stand 145 on the day. For more information on the MK Bike Show, click here. To view the Suzuki range, click here.
