New Suzuki V-Strom 650a – refined & upgraded throughout

Widely recognised as the motorcycle that brought exceptional value to ‘go anywhere, do anything’ motorcycling, the V-Strom 650A ups the ante for the 2012 model year with the announcement of a new model offering enhanced performance, updated styling and even greater versatility.

Due for release this August and with a recommended retail price of just £6,899*, the new V-Strom 650A looks to offer a sportier approach to middleweight adventure motorcycling by bringing enhancements in virtually every area with sharp new aesthetics that not only add to the styling but improve ergonomics and comfort too.

Highlights for the new model include an all-new engine offering increased power and improved low-mid range torque, a six kilogram weight reduction, all-new styling that benefits the rider with enhanced weather protection, a more agile chassis as well as improved economy and new easy-on-the-eye instruments.

Suzuki GB’s David Taylor commented, "The V-Strom 650 really has been a special bike for us and our customers over the years. While it makes a great all-rounder, it’s also been the chosen tool for many that wanted to go that bit further. We’ve had customers ride to Timbuktu on their V-strom 650s, as well as round the world events too, really underlining the ‘can do’ attitude that the V-Strom 650 seems to inspire. To have this new model offering significant enhancements, but still loyal to the original bike’s brief is great news for UK riders. We look forward to offering it to our customers from this August."
