Suzuki celebrate centenary at media test day

Suzuki GB will be celebrating the Japanese brand’s centenary next Tuesday (7th April), as the Media Test Day, hosted by the Motor Cycle Industry Association, takes place at Bedford Autodrome.

With media invited to an exclusive day of testing the very latest machines from virtually every manufacturer, Suzuki will be in attendance with a vast selection of the current range, including the all-new 2009 GSX-R1000 Superbike and the novice friendly and stylish Gladius 650.

Along with the chance to ride some of the brand’s latest offerings, a handful of iconic machines from Suzuki’s racing past will also be on display too, along with the attendance of three-times British Superbike Champion, John Reynolds, who will be on hand all day to chat with press.

Founded by Michio Suzuki in 1909, Suzuki was initially known as a loom manufacturer, situated in the seaside town of Hammamatsu. Today, as the brand celebrates 100 years, Suzuki is a global automotive manufacturer with an annual production that reached over 2.6 million last year.

* This event is open to media only, via pre-registration through the Motor Cycle Industry Association. Contact simon.small@spresso.co.uk for more information on registration.
