Suzuki GB confirms uplift in sales of over 1,000 units year-on-year

Suzuki GB has confirmed a sales uplift of over 1,000 units year-on-year, when compared with 2025. Calendar year-to-date, the Japanese manufacturer has increased sales by 62%, which means it has sold more motorcycles in 2026 so far than it did in the entirety of 2025.

The increase comes following the implementation of plans outlined by senior management earlier this year.

Over the last year Suzuki has adjusted the prices of 13 of its on-road models, with the GSX-S1000GX+ seeing nearly £3,000 taken off of its OTR price. £1,000 has also come off the recently-launched 8T and 8TT retro machines.

Alongside pricing changes, Suzuki has also expanded its model range. After launching its new 800cc engine platform in 2023, it now powers six models, while a DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM also joined the lineup last year. Ensuring plenty of entry points into the brand for new riders, there are two 125cc geared machines and three scooters, all of which have also seen price reductions over the last year. Furthermore, the returning GSX-R1000R and the newly-launched SV-7GX will provide further sales opportunities for dealers for the remainder of the 2026 selling season and beyond.

Cemented in the confidence that Suzuki has in the reliability of its products, the introduction of an industry-leading 10-year service-activated warranty scheme has also helped boost sales, with customers able to buy with the confidence that they are covered, in the unlikely event that they need aftersales support.

Away from price realignments and new model launches, Suzuki has also introduced a new marketing direction, centered around a new strapline: ‘Serious.Fun’. ‘Serious’ speaks to the build quality and durability that Suzuki is renowned for, while ‘Fun’ embodies why people choose to ride motorcycles, be that on-road, off-road, adventure, sports, touring, or even commuting.

This year the GSX-S1000 has been one of the brand’s strongest sellers with 326 units sold. Also performing strongly are GSX-S1000GX+, 125cc scooters and the returning GSX-R125 and S125, all outpacing their numbers from the last calendar year.

Suzuki GB’s director of motorcycles, Paul de Lusignan, commented, We outlined a clear direction and plan at our dealer conference in February, and six months later we are already seeing the results. We are focused on increasing volume and returning to a higher market share. Our pricing realignments, combined with a broader model range and clear marketing strategy, are already delivering benefits. This is positive news for us and our dealer partners, who are selling more products and creating additional opportunities through accessories and aftersales services.”

Suzuki GB currently has a number of open points across the country, where it is looking to expand its dealer network and further boost sales opportunities. Dealerships interested in adopting the Suzuki franchise should click here.
