Suzuki puts staff through CBTs as part of Ride to Work Week

As part of Ride to Work Week 2018 – where the whole motorcycle industry comes together to encourage the use motorcycles as a mode of transport to ease congestion and reduce the environmental impact of commuters – Suzuki GB offered staff at its Milton Keynes headquarters the chance to take their CBT and get a taste for two wheels.

While most members of the motorcycling division already ride to work, the team offered colleagues in the car, ATV, and marine divisions the chance to take their CBT in a bid to tempt more members of staff to take up motorcycling.

Natalie Baker, a digital co-ordinator in the automobile division, said after completing her CBT, I am really thankful that Suzuki offered me the chance to do my CBT, I obviously see the bikes coming in and out every day, but until now had never taken any steps to having a go myself. I had such a brilliant day and experience learning to ride, with so much laughter and I’m very happy to have passed my CBT. I’m now currently looking to get a 125 for more experience, with the possibility of doing my full test in the future.”

As part of Ride to Work Week, Suzuki also prepared a fleet of bikes for its staff to use over the five days, including the GSX-R1000R and SV650X.
