Suzuki to support 2014 off-road experience

Suzuki GB is set to support this year’s Motorcycle Industry Association (MCI) Motorcycle Off-Road Experience (MORE) event, aimed at introducing riders to the world of motocross and off-road riding.

Running from Friday 20 to Monday 23 June at Bevercotes in Nottinghamshire, the MORE event gives those new to off-road riding the chance to try it in a no-pressure environment, with bikes and riding kit provided, along with expert tuition from a number of instructors. The days will be split into morning and afternoon sessions, with a dedicated ladies-only session on the morning of Friday 20 June.

Suzuki will be supporting the event with a fleet of DR-Z125Ls, RM-Z250s and RM-Z450 machines, with expert tuition provided by Neil Prince and Graeme Irwin. Prince, a former British Champion, runs Suzuki’s official British Motocross team and heads up Team GB at the Motocross des Nations, with Irwin currently challenging for the British MX1 Championship title.

Neil Prince said, "Last year’s event was a real success, with lots of newcomers to the sport getting their first taste of off-road riding and motocross. Everyone that I spoke to at the event seemed to have been bitten by the off-road bug, with lots asking about the sport and what their next steps should be to get riding more often. It’s great that the motorcycle industry comes together for this event to give people the chance to start riding in a safe but fun and hassle free environment."

Registration for this year’s event opens online at 10:00am on Saturday 10 May, with riders able to book either a morning or afternoon session on their chosen day. Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Only 400 spaces will be allocated.
