Suzuki to support Rocket Centre open day

Popular local motorcycle dealership Rocket Centre will host its annual open day this Saturday, 11 July, with support from Suzuki GB and a whole host of guests.

Based in Trident Park in Blackburn, Rocket Centre’s open days have become a must visit for motorcyclists in the region, and this year’s event promises to continue that popularity. Suzuki’s purpose-built event unit will be in attendance, with a host of bikes on display from the Japanese firm’s range, including the new GSX-S1000 super-naked and the GSX-S1000F machine, recently launched to Europe’s motorcycling press on the Isle of Man.

Christian Iddon and Josh Waters, currently campaigning their GSX-R1000s with the Bennetts Suzuki team in the British Superbike championship, will also be in attendance to meet and greet fans, as well as number of other riders from what many consider to be the most competitive domestic racing series in the world.

Mark Cottom, Rocket Centre Marketing Manager, said ahead of the event,"2014’s open day was a great success, with superb weather, a fantastic turnout, and everyone having a good time. While we can’t guarantee the weather this year, we can promise an amazing day, with some superb guests and bikes which are bound to get petrol heads and their families excited. We have a great lineup of riders attending, while former Suzuki racer and motorsport commentator James Whitham will be keeping order on the day. On top of that, we’ll have a stunt display from Vertical Trix, Arai and Shark helmet service trucks, and Oxford Products display truck, and a DynoJet UK truck doing power runs. Refreshments will be available all day, including a hog roast, and of course there will be some special offers throughout the showroom on bikes, clothing and accessories. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone who comes along on the day."

The Rocket Centre open day takes place on Saturday 11 July at 3 Trident Park, Blackburn, BB1 3NU. Visitwww.rocketcentre.comfor more information.
