Video: Suzuki GSX-R750F Motorcycle Live restoration

Suzuki has released a video documenting the restoration of an original GSX-R750F at last year’s Motorcycle Live, highlighting the number of genuine parts still available on the brand’s Vintage Parts Programme.

Carried out by Team Classic Suzuki mechanic Nathan Colombi, the build began on the show’s opening day, and was completed using a combination of new parts and refurbished components. It was finished for Motorcycle Live’s final weekend, and fired into life on the Suzuki stand.

Suzuki GB’s Tim Davies said, “We launched our Vintage Parts Programme at Motorcycle Live a few years ago now, and built a brand new TL1000 at the show in 2014. For last year’s Motorcycle Live we again wanted to do something cool and interesting, and this was it. There were the GSX-R 30th anniversary celebrations taking place and the new GSX-R1000 was on display, so this tied in nicely with everything else that was happening. It was a really fun thing to do and it was great to see so much interest from visitors. We know how popular ownership of older machines is, which is why we try to make the sourcing of genuine parts for classic Suzukis as easy as possible, and hopefully this highlights just how many are still available.”

Bikes featured as part of Suzuki’s Vintage Parts Programme include the RGV250, GT750, AP50, GT250 X7, GS1000, and GSX-R750, models F-H, and the GSX-R1100L.
